Dog Days of Summer 2011
Beautiful sunset!
The snake we found in the old carpet
Might look like junk, but it's the cultivators for the Cub
Disking the house field
Josephine working the Cub
Happy Jo!
Josephine is doing great, and Russv is giving pointers.
Making the second pass.
Hard to see, but there is a big ol' grin on that face.
First pass completed.
Russ, giving Josephine some pointers along the way
Her she comes>
josephine making the first pass with the plow.
Big weekend, Russ and Gary working on the Cub.
Twelve hours later, usable ramp, not bad for a bunch of novices. It still needs handrails etc, but it's usable.
Deck is completed, getting ready to make supports for the ramp.
Great day for building a ramp
Another shot of the cover crop.
Our Sorghum Sudan grass is looking good.
Ta-Da! Our new home!
And a look out the front
After two long days, Jo looks out the back door of our new home
Because it can pick up a trailer and move it sideways
This little machine costs over $40K
And closer
The trailer pulling closer into place
Turned around and backing the other way
The trailer being backed into the property.
Trailer moving day.
Can you tell we are excited?
Looking out across the field in the early morning.
Power pole for thee well, now we just need the well finished
Cover crop of Sorghum Sudan grass and cowpeas.
Rookie out for an early morning adventure, in the big field.
Here are the pictures from the first summer at Tubby Creek Farm. Lots of building, working and of course the trailer being moved into place all happened the summer of 11.
